A contact lens is a lens placed o n the eye. Contact lenses are considered medical devices and can be worn to correct vision, for cosmetic or therapeutic reasons.
People choose to wear contact lenses for many reasons. Aesthetics and cosmetics are often motivating factors for people who would like to avoid wearing glasses or would like to change the appearance of their eyes. Other people wear contacts for more visual reasons. When compared with spectacles, contact lenses typically provide better peripheral vision, and do not collect moisture such as rain, snow, condensation, or sweat. This makes them ideal for sports and other outdoor activities. Additionally, there are conditions such as keratoconus and aniseikonia that are typically corrected better by contacts than by glasses.
3. Why do I need to sanitize my Contact Lens Case/Kit?
Plastic, like any material, degrades in time and can readily hold onto bacteria if the contacts are contaminated. You should replace your contact lens case once or twice a year if possible. You should, at least, clean your contact lens case to remove bacteria or contaminants at least once a month. Never boil your contact lens case directly in a pot. You could damage the case causing residue to adhere to the contact lens.

Failure to use contact lenses and solution correctly can result in eye infections. Both bacterial and fungal infections can lead to serious consequences such as permanent loss of sight if left untreated.
